Deaths per year involving a HGV*
A disproportionate amount of deaths on UK roads are attributed to HGVs. This is due to their dangerous nature being large, heavy and having numerous blind spots. Pedestrians and cyclists are most at danger from HGVs operating in towns and cities as well as country roads, TTCS aims to stop these preventable deaths using technology. Similarly, vehicles are at risk of running into the rear of HGVs, due to them having just two brake lights usually, TTCS wants to change that too.
